BookIQ.ai appointment text messages

The text messages (SMS) BookIQ.ai sends about appointments booked on BookIQ.ai: who sends them, what is sent, how a person opts in, and how to stop them.

When they start

No text message is sent before this program’s United States carrier registration is approved. It was approved on 22 October 2026, and text messages have not started yet. Until they do, no text message is sent, and a booking confirmation comes by email.

Who sends them

BookIQ.ai, an online appointment-booking service owned and operated by PairOx Pty Ltd (ABN 82 154 477 728), Australia. Businesses publish booking pages on BookIQ.ai, at bookiq.ai/book/[page name], and their clients book appointments on those pages.

BookIQ.ai sends these messages in its own name, from +1 312 872 8633. Each message begins “BookIQ.ai (PairOx Pty Ltd):” and names the business the appointment is with. The businesses that take bookings on BookIQ.ai cannot write, edit or send these messages.

Contact: support@bookiq.ai.

What is sent

Only messages about your own appointments with the business named in the checkbox:

  • a first message confirming that you signed up;
  • booking confirmations;
  • appointment reminders;
  • notices that a booking was changed or cancelled.

No marketing or promotional messages are sent by text message.

How you opt in

On the booking page of a business whose prices are in US dollars, the “Your Details” step asks for your name, email and phone number. Directly under the field labelled “Phone” is a checkbox. It is never ticked for you, and you can book without ticking it. Above it the form says so: “Text message updates (optional)” and “Ticking this box is optional. Leave it unticked and you can still complete your booking.” The checkbox’s own words are:

I agree to receive text messages (SMS) from BookIQ.ai (PairOx Pty Ltd) about my appointments with [business name]: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and notices that a booking was changed or cancelled, at the mobile number I entered. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of booking or purchase. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

“[business name]” is the name of the business you are booking with. In the checkbox, “Terms of Service” and “Privacy Policy” link to the parts of those documents about these messages. Until text messages start, the page says under the checkbox: “Text messages from BookIQ.ai have not started yet. Until they do, no text is sent, and your booking confirmation comes by email.”

Ticking the checkbox and submitting your booking is your agreement. It is a separate checkbox from the one under it for news and offers from the business, which are sent by email only. BookIQ.ai records that you agreed, the date and time, and the business whose booking page you agreed on.

The checkbox appears only on booking pages that show the BookIQ.ai name, for businesses whose prices are in US dollars.

What the form looks like

From the live example bookiq.ai/book/bookiq-demo (BookIQ Demo Studio, a demonstration business run by BookIQ.ai; every eligible booking page has the same form).

First, a copy of the part of that form with the name, email and phone fields and the two checkboxes, word for word as the live example shows it for BookIQ Demo Studio. It is only a copy: it has no button and sends nothing. To use the real form, open https://bookiq.ai/book/bookiq-demo and choose a service and a time; the form appears after that. Below the copy are screenshots of the live form.

Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

For booking confirmation

The Your Details step of a BookIQ.ai booking page: name, email and the Phone field, and directly under Phone the unticked text-message checkbox, headed Text message updates (optional) with the line saying the booking can be completed without ticking it, its full wording and the caption under it.
1. The checkbox, unticked, under the Phone field.
The same Your Details step after the person ticked the text-message checkbox under the Phone field; the optional heading above it, its full wording, the links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and the caption under it are unchanged, and the separate email news checkbox below it is still unticked.
2. The checkbox ticked.
The Review and Confirm step: the service, the date and time, the person's name, email and phone number, and the Confirm Booking button.
3. The review step before the booking is confirmed.
The Booking Confirmed screen: the time, service and business, the booking reference, a line saying the confirmation was sent by email, and the line confirming the opt-in: You agreed to receive appointment text messages at (312) 555-0142. Text messages have not started yet, so your confirmation comes by email.
4. The confirmation screen, with the line confirming the opt-in.
