Delete your BookIQ account
You can request deletion here without signing in — useful if you have lost access to your account. BookIQ.ai is operated by PairOx Pty Ltd (Australia).
What happens, and when
- You confirm by clicking the link we email you. This proves you control the mailbox, which is what lets us accept the request without a password.
- We schedule the erasure 30 days out and sign you out of every device. You get a one-click “keep my account” link that works for the whole 30 days — no password needed.
- On day 30 an automated job irreversibly anonymises your personal data in a single transaction, then issues you an erasure certificate listing exactly what was anonymised and what was retained.
What is permanently removed
- Your name, email address, phone number, address and profile photo — the profile photo file itself, not just the link to it.
- Your sign-in identities (Google, Apple, password), passkeys, two-factor factors and every active session.
- Your push-notification device tokens and in-app notifications.
- Your search history, saved searches, voice commands, AI conversations, and any location, photo or voice data the mobile app recorded.
- The IP addresses and device identifiers recorded against your activity in our audit logs — the log entry stays, the identifiers that point at you do not.
What we must keep, and why
We do not pretend to delete records the law requires us to hold. These are kept without your personal identifiers:
- Invoices, payments and tax records — 7 years. Required to comply with a legal obligation (GDPR Art. 17(3)(b)). Australian tax law requires records supporting a tax return to be kept for 5 years; we keep 7. Totals, dates and line items remain; your identifying details do not.
- The record that you accepted our Terms and Privacy Policy. Kept for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (GDPR Art. 17(3)(e)), including the IP address and device it was accepted from — those are the evidence of how consent was given, and stripping them would leave a record we could not substantiate.
- This deletion request itself. Kept so we can demonstrate we received and fulfilled it (GDPR Art. 5(2)). Your email address is removed from it once the erasure completes.
- Records belonging to your business’s clients. They are a different person’s data and are governed by their own rights, not yours. If your business is closing, ask us about bulk client erasure.
- Files you uploaded on behalf of the business. Deleting your account does not delete the business. Its bookings, staff and financial records carry on, so its logo and banner, its service, portfolio and partner-directory images, the documents attached to its records and its e-invoices stay with the business, and images it publishes stay publicly readable. Two things keep them: this is the business’s own material rather than your personal data, and e-invoices and business documents are separately held under statutory record-keeping duties (GDPR Art. 17(3)(b) and Art. 17(3)(e)). The business can delete any of them from inside BookIQ.ai at any time. If you believe a particular file is your own personal data, email us and we will assess it individually and delete it where Art. 17 applies.
Take your data with you first
If you can still sign in, export your data before you delete: go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Download my data. Once the erasure runs it cannot be undone and we cannot reproduce your export.
