Version 2026-09-04 — read the archived copy of this exact version
If you create a BookIQ.ai account now, this is the version that applies to you, from the moment you create it — it is the text shown at signup and the version recorded against your account. If your account already existed on 4 September 2026, this version takes effect for you on 4 October 2026, at the end of the 30 days’ notice section 10 gives for a material change; until then the version that applies to your account is 2026-07-27, which you can read here.
What changed in this version: section 4 said that after a cancellation you can export your data at any time. No part of BookIQ.ai exports all of your data, so that sentence promised something the product does not do. It now names what does exist — a full copy of your data on request, under Settings → Privacy & Security → Download my data, actioned within 30 days. Nothing about refunds, cancellation, the 30-day annual guarantee or your rights under the Australian Consumer Law changes in this version.
BookIQ.ai is operated by PairOx Pty Ltd, an Australian company. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for a BookIQ.ai subscription you buy from us — the Free, Pro and Team plans. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
It does not cover money a business takes from its own clients through BookIQ.ai — deposits, invoices and booking payments. Those are between that business and its client, and are governed by that business's own cancellation and refund terms.
All BookIQ.ai subscriptions are purchased and billed through our website. We do not sell subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and we do not ask for a credit card to start it. During the trial you get the full features of the plan you are trying, and you are not charged anything.
If you decide not to continue, simply do not subscribe — your account stays on the Free plan and you are never billed. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. If you do subscribe, your first charge is taken when the trial ends, and the rest of this policy applies from that point.
You can cancel at any time, on any plan. Cancel from Settings → Subscription & Billing inside BookIQ.ai, or email support@bookiq.ai from the email address on your account and we will do it for you.
If you are on an annual plan and BookIQ.ai is not right for you, tell us within 30 days of your first annual charge and we will refund that payment in full. You do not have to give a reason.
This is a voluntary commercial guarantee that we choose to offer. It is in addition to — and does not limit — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 8).
Monthly plans are not covered by the voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee. We think that is fair, because a monthly plan already has two protections built in:
So on a monthly plan we do not refund a month you have already started, as a matter of our own policy. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if the service has a problem covered by the consumer guarantees, you may still be entitled to a refund or another remedy, on a monthly plan just as much as an annual one. See section 8, and talk to us.
Email support@bookiq.ai with the subject "Refund request", from the email address on your BookIQ.ai account, and include:
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it — we can almost always resolve it faster directly, and a chargeback can suspend your account while the bank investigates.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
These consumer guarantees can apply to business customers as well as individuals — generally where the supply costs less than AU$100,000, or is of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use. BookIQ.ai subscriptions sit well under that threshold.
Nothing in this policy, in our Terms of Service, or in the 30-day money-back guarantee excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our voluntary guarantee operates in addition to those rights. Where this policy says we do not refund something, that is our commercial position only, and it never displaces a remedy the law gives you.
We may update this policy. If a change is material we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. The version that applies to a refund request is the one published when you were charged. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
